The first posting and the last day of year 30.

As my alarm clock went off at 4:45am, as it does every day, I realized today is January 15- the last day of my 30th year on this planet. A wave of panic rolled over me. This is the decade that things happen. I'll most likely get married to my amazing partner, Gabe
. We may or may not have kids. My parents will get older. My career will continue taking shape while I develop programs and systems that integrate technology and digital citizenship into middle and high school curriculum.. . I'll be RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE  for things, people, plans, educations. Ugh the pressure.... Then I checked TMZ and I felt a little better. It could be worse; I could be Justin Beiber's PR rep.

I am who I am regardless of age. I listen to music, I collect records, I love going to shows (although it's a lot harder to stay up for them when you're used to waking up at 5am and in bed by 10pm everyday).

Basically, this is a space where I can talk about things. Share music and album reviews, fashion ideas, thoughts on movies, events happening around Southern California, specifically Long Beach, current educational/edtech practices, and anything else that pops up. It's like a catch all.

* I also get a chance to try blogger out before teaching it to my students.

So feel free to participate in this conversation.
